I'm a wanna be computer geek, so I thought Hello World was a good title for a first post.
What does "Wanna Be" mean? It means I have a degree in computer science, but due to my limited programming skills and preference to working with real people, I used my degree to get a job in IT...(Queue the Scary Music)...SALES. Joining the Darkside seemed a more logical career move for me and so far it has been.
Anyways what does this have to do with a startup in the cloud you ask? I'm starting a company and we're going to collaborate, build, learn and fail on the cloud! Sooooo exciting I know! What will my company actually do? Still in the works but basically we're, (My business partner) hoping to create an alternative route to experts, and answer a simple question: "Is a group or CROWD of humans better than a group of computers?" We would have asked is a group of people smarter than a single expert, but I think books like "The Wisdom of Crowds" and Facebook are showing how smart we are collectively.
Anyways I plan to make regular updates about our progress, and in turn learn what it takes to create a successful startup.
